A.R Kane are Alex Ayuli and Rudy Tambala, both from Stratford, East London, UK, where they formed the band at the end of 1985.
They made music together between 1986 and 1994, and released with One Little Indian, 4AD, Rough Trade, Luaka Bop and Third Stone. They released three full LP's (sixty nine in 1988, "i" in 1989 and New Clear Child in 1994) and several singles/EPs.
